The start of Mental Overload provide the comedy for this album. it is
quickly followed by heavy guitars and a bomb detonation
sound. The vocals of Jason Campbell (ex-Mortification) has a low shout/high
growl kinda vocals.
The music packs tons of melody to it, thus making it a NOT boring album.
The title track has strong guitars not tuned down to a very low tone,
unlike so many of the current metal bands that's in the scene right
now. 'Wretch' is a chuggy chuggy kinda guitar sound, which goes all the
way through out the track. "Of God save me from this world of hate" I guess
is talking about how filthy and corrupted the world we live in.
However 'Alone' thrust the album back to it's faster pace,
with driving bass and great guitar works brings attention to this band
hailing from Canada.
Every track has great guitars and drumming...
although occasionally the drums suffer from what I would describe as
- lack of energy.
'Love Lost' slows this down again with that chuggy chuggy guitar sound.
This album doesn't bore me at all. The factors I look for in a metal
band is MELODY and great vocals.
This album has both quality that I'm looking for. Another quality release
for the Christian Metal Scene.
Lyrics are written in a intelligent manner. Telling people to seek
Christ to escape from the problem of this world.
