LAMENT - Tears of a Leper (Mexico)
Rowe Production

Lament is THE BAND OF THE YEAR!!!
They are described as technical metal. One term which I can truly understand. Lament posses EXTREAMLY good guitar plucking within their Death Metal. What is special about this album is that about half of it's songs are done in Spanish.
The first track 'Sacrifice of Rightouness' starts with slow plucking and some spoken Spanish before the actual distortion and Death Growl comes in. But sadly the guitars are very not loud on this track. They have one of the greatest solos around.
'From Pain To Hope' starts off with spoken English and great guitars.
Then comes in the heaviness of this band.

The BEST track MUST be 'They Mystery of Iniquity' it has some weird sounds at the beginning before it becomes great riffs with superb drumming. Although the drumming are not done in a fast death metal fashion it is a refreashing sound to listen to. The singing is the usual growl but it is echoed with black vocals. The beat changes every now and then making this a superb listen. 'Absolute Predominance' starts as a fast-paced track with heavy guitars and growl, but occasionally the growl would sound like someone with phlegm in their throat(sorry guys), but it slows down after a while. 'Tears of a Leper' is definately a GREAT song in anyone's book. It comprimises of great technical guitars and superb vocal works especially in the spoken Spanish part. Really kewl guitar riffs and melody to match. 'Chains of Darkness' is a fast-paced piece which comprimises of very good drumming and vocals and guitar riffs, definately the best track to be placed last. It leaves the listener longing for more of Lament.

SCORE : 10/10
